Sally wanted to change the world, but she couldn’t change her mind
So she thought she’d leave it all, leave it all behind

When Sally’s mom got home from work, she called out sally’s name
A bad smell came from her room, but it was too late

Her child lay on the floor, white and stiff as a nail
And next to her lay a bottle of pills and some writing on a notepad

It said,

“Mom, I’m sorry I failed, I just wanted to be a good girl
But you always criticized me, and you never cared

You know how I wanted to change the world but I couldn’t even change my mind
No matter how hard I tried, so I decided to end it with a sigh.

Sally”

The police came and got her body, they gave the mom a ticket
Because it was illegal to kill yourself in beautiful ol’ nantucket
Even though she grew up white and rich, sally couldn’t escape the bitch

Her mom said she was the biggest mistake that she ever made
Oxy and booze never did the trick, heroine only made it worse
When the tracks started to appear, so said the school nurse,
“Girl, you better get some help, before you kill yourself.”

Sally did as she said, she got clean in rehab
But the stench of life was too much for her to have
So she wanted to leave it all, leave all the bullshit behind
A final dose of Oxy and some Beam and finally all was fine.
